Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are my last days of summer. I cannot believe that school is starting. I kind of want to start back, but I know I am going to be very busy.
I am loving my four day work week. It is so nice to have Fridays off and I know that will help a lot when school starts. I have made a "to do" list for tomorrow. I am determined to get some more stuff done before I have to go back to school.
New York was great and I am glad that I got to go with my mom and sister. We had so much fun and got to do so much. I saw more of New York this visit than the last visit. I definitely want to go back some day.
Well that's all for now. I hope everyone has had a good summer.

saying goodbye
Yesterday was a really hard day. I had to say goodbye to a couple of people.
The first person was my coworker Mark Anderson. I went to Mark's memorial service and that was really hard. He was such a loving and caring man with a big heart. He talked about his family all the time and I know that he loved them very much. He will be greatly missed. Please keep his family in your prayers. I know that they are going to have some really hard times approaching.
Now the really hard part...
I guess I should give some background first...My parents have been kind of like foster parents to Chelsea for about 4 months. When my mom taught second grade, she was in her class. Well my mom and Chelsea formed a relationship and they kept up with each other throughout the years. One night my mom got a phone call from Chelsea's grandmother and my parents had to decide whether they could take care of Chelsea for a little while. Her home life has not been a good one and her grandmother made some very poor decisions. Well to make a long story short, Chelsea had to leave my parents house and move on to a foster home.
Last night I had to say goodbye to Chelsea. It was so hard to try and stay so strong for her. While my mom and dad were packing up the CPS worker's car, I just held Chelsea and we cried together. I know that God is in control and he has a plan for her life, but do you know how hard it is to explain that to a twelve year old that has had everything she has ever known taken from her? My heart broke last night when the CPS worker told her that they couldn't find her a home here. I know that she will be able to stay in contact with my mom so hopefully her foster parents will let us visit.
I can see now the reason that my mom and Chelsea formed the relationship they did. I know that my God is an amazing God and he will protect Chelsea. I just get so upset about it because I believe that no child should have to go through what she has been through. Please pray for Chelsea and pray that she will not lose sight of God. Pray that the devil will not interfere with her thoughts and that she may see that God is in control and he will take care of her. Also pray for my family, especially my mom. We are hurting for Chelsea.
"For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:10-12

prayers are needed...
I got a call from my boss on Saturday and it was definitely one that I didn't expect. She told me that one of our coworkers was killed in a boating accident. His name is Mark and his family is going to be needing prayers more now than ever. I don't know too much of the details yet. I guess I am still trying to grasp the fact that he will not be at work tomorrow. I was just joking with him last Thursday and now he is gone. Please pray for his wife and his children. I will update more when I have more information.
